NEW BACHELORETTE...

Who needs Brad? Rejected Ashley Hebert named the new Bachelorette

By Daily Mail Reporter
When The Bachelor's Brad Womack told Ashley Hebert she wasn't 'the one' she couldn't contain her sobs.
But the 26-year-old was all smiles today as she was named the new Bachelorette.
The student dentist from Maine will now get to choose her ideal man from amongst 25 carefully selected contenders hoping to win her heart.

After coming third on The Bachelor, with Brad eventually picking Emily Maynard, Ashley was selected by producers to replace him.
During the show she had made her crush on Brad obvious, telling the camera: 'I never thought I'd fall in love so quickly for somebody. This is all new to me. I can see myself with him.'

Ashley proved an early favourite of Brad on The Bachelor, but her jealousy over the other girls and insecurity drove a wedge between them.

But by the time viewers watched Ashley's rejection three weeks ago, she was already busy filming her own series of the show.
Ashley told U.S. chatshow host Jimmy Kimmel she had since recovered from her rejection.
'I think it all worked out for the best,' she said.
He joked in return: 'Do you promise, on national television, to date 25 men simultaneously without complaining?
'Do you promise to make sure the hot tubs are clean and have enough chlorine and their bacteria levels are low?'
After undergoing a mini-makeover, Ashley has been busy filming her own series of the show over the last few weeks.
The first episode will be broadcast on May 23 on ABC
