KITCHEN PARTY

I love Kitchen Parties. I  have seen pictures and videos , however i have never been to one yet. I guess because when i left Tanzania back in the days these kind of parties were not that popular. However these parties are now the biggest part of the wedding process . One thing i was wondering is what happen to the gift when the bride and groom lives overseas. Is it necessary to have a Kitchen Party when you don't live in Tanzania. What will you do with all those gift you might receive? We all know that with Kitchen party a bride can get from a blender to the whole bedroom set. What are you suppose to do with them? Give them away? I wonder if there is a system where a bride who lives  ng'ambo could ask to get some Benjamin's $$$$$ instead of  makabati ya vyombo na masufuria.. It just my opinion....

    dear kitchen party nyingi kwa watu wanaoishi nje huwa wanapewa urembo kama vinyago hasa mapambo ya kiasili na mshiko hata send off na harusi zao huwa hivyo hivyo so mama usiogope kama wewe ukija fanyiwa huku utapewa mkwanja
